APLE Timeline & Tasks

The project is based on three key aspects:  

  1. Innovation and development in the educational process of the HEIs + Internationalization and building partnerships for the purpose of enhancing curricula of studios and courses with innovative educational techniques.  
  2. Initiative and proactive approach starting from academia towards external stakeholders apprenticeship and proto-practice (professional realm consisting of design studios, contractors, material suppliers/producers, governmental and non-governmental entities that deal with urban and architectural issues).  
  3. Technological research and teaching upgrade enabled by the Pop-up Laboratories. This concept introduces an innovative networking tool, synchronised with the pace of global IT development, and consists of the Core Labs (physical lab space), Virtual Labs (online labs for knowledge and experiences exchange, networking, contacts and projects database) and Temporary Labs (occasional lab set up with equipment for a specific task or place).
